Technology has the potential to save many lives, limit environmental damage, and to increase productivity and living standards everywhere, if the gains are distributed equally. Yet, automation driven by artificial intelligence and machine learning is also expected to replace tens of millions of jobs currently generated by America’s economy within the next twenty years. This panel will explore how new technologies could impact the workforce and the world and will include a discussion of policies and other strategies needed to promote equitable opportunities for all.
